I stumbled across this picture the other day. Sometimes I will just scroll back through pictures when I am feeling a bit out of sorts or down – especially when I was ill, I looked through old pictures and arrange for them to get printed. But this picture jumped out to me earlier this week on what was ‘Blue Monday’….a name given to a day in January which apparently is meant to be the most depressing day of the year. So whilst for some people looking at photographs of holidays and good times might make them feel a bit down, it has the opposite effect on me, it brings back incredible memories, and I remember how I feel in that moment, and what we did that day.
I am rubbish in the Winter, it’s so cold, the weather is so grey and dreary here in the UK, it just gets a bit depressing. Dark mornings, short days, no glorious summer weddings to shoot. I am so over Winter!
This picture sums up my mood in the summer…beachy hair, no make, sunglasses (a total must!) a bikini and a cute top that I can just throw on and a massive smile! The only thing missing from this picture is a glass of Pimms! Taken on the way to the beach in Portugal, a holiday with friends, 5 days away from the city hat was very much needed. I will spare you a picture of how I am here in the winter in the UK haha, apart from if I am on the slopes….usually with a glass of Vin Chaud!
I am so over the crappy weather we are having in the UK right now, it’s so damn cold! So I can’t wait for this summer (please hurry up!) and ready for summer vibes with a couple of trips booked, one being to the South of France which I am so excited about!
