Welcome back to the Podcast, I hope you are well and I hope you had a fabulous bank holiday Easter weekend.
Today’s episode is the first interview on the podcast. A chat with a fellow photographer and friend, who I have had the pleasure of knowing for about 5 years now, Rachel from Rachel Jane Photography. Rachel is a family photographer based in Swindon, working with families across Wiltshire, in The Cotswolds and Gloucestershire here in the UK. She is a really talented photographer who has a beautiful, warm, soulful and emotive style of photography, and seeks those natural, unposed moments to document truthful memories for families.
Today we chat about Rachel starting her photography career and what that looked like, we chat about her finding her style and really developing her niche into family photography and transitioning from wedding photography.
I hope you enjoy this conversation and might relate to Rachel’s story in some way, and have some great take aways. You can also listen to the podcast >> HERE

Hello, I’m Rachel, a family photographer based in Swindon, working with families in Wiltshire, The Cotswolds and Gloucestershire. My warm, soulful and emotive style of photography is popular with families seeking to document truthful memories.
I fiercely believe in natural, unposed images which preserve the real essence of your family. I’m a mum myself and I know all about the highs and lows of motherhood and this is why I’m drawn to capturing the connection between mother and child.
I grew up around horses, spent care-free days and nights camping and caravanning. I ventured across southern America with a group of people I’d never met before when I was just 20 years old and these days I still love nothing more than being outside in nature. Whether it’s a long evening walk or sitting out on our decking with a glass of wine, I am happier when I’m outdoors.
You can probably tell from my portfolio that I draw inspiration from outdoor experiences. You’ll always find me chasing the last of the golden evening light in fields with parents and their children on their own little adventure!
