If the sun is out, I can promise you now, I will do everything I can to make sure there is a BBQ on the go! I love any excuse to have a BBQ and eat outside. Unfortunately in the UK we aren’t blessed with having amazing weather all year round…gutted! But we usually have pockets of days here and there, whilst most of us would then start complaining that it’s too hot (not easily pleased are we!) for me, I am a sun worshiper and try and get outside any chance I can get.
Back at the end of May we had some beautiful weather, and no hanging around we cracked on with the BBQ and chilled outside. We only recently moved into our home, and we haven’t given the attention the garden fully deserves, but for an impromptu evening we did well and managed to get hold of table and chairs. I also got some outdoor fairy lights (love, love, LOVE outdoor lights!), and loads of small lanterns and hurricane lamps, with tea lights and candles!
I had so much fun getting it all ready, and looking forward to when we get our first home, making the garden an amazing spot for entertaining! I took to Pinterest to get some ideas for our last minute evening in the garden, and made a DIY Citronella candle, which I am so proud to say did its magic and kept the flies away! Also we were all trying to be abit healthy, so rather than getting out the ciders and beers, I decided to make some flavoured water, and made some low calorie Mojitos (rather than tonic you use Coconut Water!)
It was the perfect evening and I can’t wait for some more summer evenings like it!
