This video by Alan Watts keeps coming back to time and time again. Whether it be on my social media feed, a recommendation, via email or through Youtube. I see it time and time again.
And every time I watch it, I feel it is just as powerful as the first time I saw it.
Have you ever asked yourself this question….What if money was no object?
Last year was the first time I invested in myself and my business. I invested in a mentor. This was when I started to really evaluate what I want and want to achieve in my life and business. Goal setting, mindset, dream boards – all things I had never considered before!
Forget the money.
What do you want? How do you want to feel? What do you want to achieve?
“Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spending in a miserable way”
This sentence, this truly powerful way of thinking I think is crucial! There have been times previously, I have been so incredibly unhappy, sad, upset, lost, working in a job that I truly dislike, that makes me feel miserable. I didn’t know what to do, or where I would go with my career. I knew I just wanted out. I am not talking about after a couple of days in a new role, these were jobs I had stuck out for several years.
I wanted to make a change. I wanted to live my live in a happy way, living for the moment, not slaving away for some one else, who doesn’t value me, or what I do, the dreams I have. Restricting me on my time, my potential, my creative mind in wanting to create.
Now I am not saying pack up and leave your job today, or tomorrow. But think about what you want. If your job really makes you that miserable, that you worry about it 24/7, that it is all you talk about….and not in a positive way. Then is it really something you want to spend your time doing? It might not even be your job, it could be your current situation, where you live, your lifestyle or hobbies.
Dream. Think big. Manifest. Get it on your dream board. Do what you want! Our lives are too short, wasting time in a job or situation you absolutely hate or feel miserable in.
What if money was no object, what would you do?
Much love, Charlotte
